SkyCube, an eco-friendly means of transportation connecting Suncheon Bay National Garden and Suncheon Bay Wetland, is a Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) developed by POSCO for the first time in the world. It was introduced in 2014 to prevent environmental damage to Suncheon Bay Wetland caused by the rapidly increasing number of tourist vehicles. Although it experienced operational difficulties at one time, it was normalized through revitalization measures such as the introduction of an integrated ticketing system after being donated free of charge to Suncheon in 2021.
Currently, it offers a special experience where you can enjoy eco-tourism while taking in the beautiful scenery of Suncheon Bay through the window. After departing from Jeong-won Station and getting off at Munhakgwan Station, you can move to Suncheon Bay Wetland by reed train or on foot.
