Oedaldo Island is a cozy island located about 6km west of the Port of Mokpo, well known as the 'Island of Love' and a 'Slow City'. Boasting a cozy landscape of Dadohae and beautiful sunsets, it was selected as an Excellent Eco-Village. The island features an artificial seawater pool using ocean water, a quiet hanok guesthouse area, the Lighthouse of Love, and a coastal deck promenade.

Byeolseom, which can be reached on foot at low tide, is a popular photo point for watching the sunset and experiencing the mudflats.

Did you know this peaceful village of hanok, or traditional Korean houses, where children run and laugh today, was once the site of a closed school where the sound of laughter had faded away? Oedaldo Island, a small and solitary island in the sea off Mokpo, became a completely new resort when the old school site was transformed into traditional houses and seawater was drawn in to create a swimming pool. At low tide, a path through the water opens up to Byeolseom, an islet where two pine trees stand. Take a slow walk and discover the hidden stories of this quiet island.
