Here, you can catch a glimpse of the values regarding life and death held by the people of Andong. In particular, 'Won's Mother's Letter' discovered in a tomb from over 450 years ago, along with the mituri (hemp shoes) containing sorrowful love for her husband, deeply move many people and have become the museum's representative artifacts.
This heartbreaking love story also served as the motif for Woryeonggyo Bridge near the museum. In addition, it has garnered attention at home and abroad by exhibiting the actual Hahoe masks (National Treasure No. 121) and Byeongsan masks, and visitors can explore both the indoor exhibition halls and the outdoor museum featuring old houses relocated from the submerged area and the Seokbinggo treasure.
