Located at the foot of Yudalsan in Mokpo, Seosan-dong Sihwa Alley is a special space created since 2015 by residents and local artists to honor the lives, joys, and sorrows of the seaside village people. Starting from Yeonhee's Supermarket, which became famous as a filming location for the movie '1987', this place retains the intact atmosphere of the 1980s, attracting visitors. Walking up the narrow alleyways, poems written by the village elders and affectionate paintings are displayed on every wall, providing deep emotion beyond just a simple mural village.
Borimadang, located at the highest point of the village, used to be an empty lot for threshing barley in the past. Now it is called 'Babomadang', meaning 'a yard with an ocean view', and serves as the best observation point to overlook Mokpo Port and the Seosan-dong area at a glance.
