Yeosu Romantic Pocha Street is a specialized street created in 2016, centered around the romance of the 'night sea in Yeosu,' to revitalize the original downtown and bring vitality to the local economy. It initially started at Jongpo Marine Park, but since October 2019, it has been relocated and operates in the plaza under the current Yeosu Geobukseon Bridge. Here, about 18 cart bars gather to present various foods made with Yeosu's fresh seafood, and in particular, the Dolmuneo Samhap (stone octopus samhap) has established itself as the representative menu.
Visitors can sit at the cart bars and enjoy the beautiful night view where the brilliantly illuminated Yeosu Geobukseon Bridge, Hamel Lighthouse, and cruise ships traveling on the night sea blend together. Busking performances held throughout the street further enhance the romantic atmosphere of the night.
