Geobukseon Bridge, connecting Jonghwa-dong and Udu-ri in Dolsan, Yeosu, is an island-connecting bridge built for the successful hosting of the 2012 Yeosu Expo. It was built over the historic sea where Admiral Yi Sun-sin tested cannons with the turtle ship during the Imjin War, and was renamed from its provisional name 'Second Dolsan Bridge' to add historical meaning. It also holds deep technical significance as Korea's first offshore concrete cable-stayed bridge.
Especially at night, the colorful landscape lighting blends with the night sea, becoming a core attraction that symbolizes the romance of the 'Yeosu night sea'. Under the bridge, there are Hamel Lighthouse, Hamel Museum, Haeyang Park, and Nangmanpochageori, making it a great place to enjoy the night in Yeosu along with the night view. Looking down at the night view from the marine cable car is considered the highlight of a trip to Yeosu.
