Hansando Jeseungdang is a historical place where Admiral Yi Sun-sin established the Samdosuguntongjeyeong and oversaw military affairs during the Imjin War. It was originally a military base called 'Unjudang Hall,' but after being destroyed during the Jeongyu War, it was rebuilt and hung with a signboard reading 'Jeseungdang Hall'. This place was more than a simple operations control room; it was a self-sufficient base where new weapons were manufactured and military supplies were procured.
It is currently designated as the historic site 'Yi Chungmugong Historic Site on Hansando, Tongyeong', and visitors can look around pavilions containing the footsteps of Chungmugong, such as Chungmusa Shrine, Hansanjeong Archery Range, and Suru Watchtower. The sea viewed from Jeseungdang Hall is the site of the Battle of Hansando and boasts a beautiful landscape considered one of the Eight Scenic Views of Tongyeong.
