Opened in 2008, the Hallyeosudo Landscape Cable Car boasts the longest length in Korea and has established itself as a representative attraction of Tongyeong. While heading to the summit of Mireuksan riding in a gondola applied with the latest technology from Switzerland, the beautiful Dadohae scenery of Hallyeohaesang National Park unfolds like a panorama. Walking along the wooden deck path leading from the upper station to the summit of Mireuksan, you can appreciate the spectacular view blending Admiral Yi Sun-sin's historic victorious battlegrounds, Tong-yeonghang, and numerous islands from various observatories such as Sinseondae, Hansandaecheop, and the Battle of Dangpo.
On a clear day, even Tsushima, Japan can be seen, and the site of a beacon fire station from the Joseon Dynasty near the summit of Mireuksan adds historical significance.
