Located in the middle of Sanyang-iljudoro, which runs along the coast of Mireukdo Island in Tongyeong, Dara Park is the best place to enjoy the beautiful archipelago scenery and fantastic sunset of Hallyeohaesang National Park. The name 'Dara' was given because the topography resembles an elephant's molar, but it is now better known to mean 'a good place to view the moon'. In particular, the sunset turning red among the numerous islands is considered one of the best attractions in the country, drawing in visitors.
If you climb the observatory in the park, you can capture a panoramic view created by overlapping islands such as Daesojangjaedo and Yokjido Island at a glance, and you can also take a break and appreciate the sea at a pavilion called Gwanhaejeong Pavilion. It is an exceptionally good place to feel relaxed in nature and make unforgettable memories.
