It is a historic site known as a banquet venue for the kings and nobles of the Silla period. The biggest feature here is the 'Yusanggoksu', a meandering water channel carved into the shape of an abalone shell. You can catch a glimpse of the refined taste of the Silla people, who floated wine cups on the flowing water and composed poems before the cup reached them.
Contrary to its beautiful atmosphere, it is also a tragic place where the 55th king of Silla, King Gyeongae, met his end after being attacked by the army of Later Baekje. Surrounded by a tranquil pine forest, it is a good place to take a quiet stroll while reflecting on the rise and fall of Silla.
