Loved for a long time by the citizens of Daegu, Suseongmot Lake is an artificial lake created in 1925 during the Japanese colonial period to supply agricultural water. Originally, it was also called 'Yongdumot', and it is said that Japanese Rintaro Mizusaki spent his own money to build it. It began to be developed as an amusement park in the 1980s and has now established itself as a romantic resting place in the city center.
You can enjoy a leisurely time riding duck boats or strolling along the waterfront promenade, and especially at night, the spectacular video music fountain and beautiful night view unfold, presenting a scenery attractive enough to be selected as one of the '100 Best Night Tourism spots in Korea'. The Suseongmot Lake Festival, held every autumn, embroiders the night sky with fireworks, giving many people unforgettable memories.
