Yekki Village is an art village created when the residents of a village submerged by the construction of Andong Dam in 1976 relocated to a hill. As its name, meaning 'a village with an artistic flair,' suggests, the old township office was reborn as a gallery, and old Hanok houses as cafes, boasting a scenery like an open-air art museum. Colorful alleyway murals and old shops such as a brewery and a barbershop blend together, exuding a strong analog mood.
Near the village, the Seonseonghyun Cultural Complex, where you can experience traditional culture, and the Sunseong Susang-gil Waterway, where you can walk on the water of Andongho Lake, are connected, making it great for enjoying a special walk along with the beautiful lake scenery.
