Opened in May 2023, Ilwol Arboretum is an urban ecological landmark where Suwon's nature and culture harmonize. It was created by reflecting the opinions of over 1,000 citizens in its design and features 16 themed gardens, including 'Dasan Garden,' which carries on the legacy of King Jeongjo and Dasan Jeong Yak-yong. The large Exhibition Greenhouse, where over 300 species of Mediterranean and dry-climate plants grow, is popular as a filming location for the drama 'Queen of Tears,' and the rare plant Pecteilis radiata provides a unique sight.
