Aqua Planet Gwanggyo, the first large-scale aquarium in southern Gyeonggi Province, is a sea in the city where about 30,000 marine and land creatures of 210 species live together. You can see the large 2,000-ton main tank 'Into the Ocean' and the imposing Sand Tiger Shark right before your eyes. There are plenty of things to enjoy, such as riding a transparent boat that navigates over the main tank, a fantastic mermaid show, and ecological presentations on otters and penguins.
It also adds educational value by featuring an open kitchen that reveals the food preparation room for the creatures and a jellyfish lab. Adjacent to the Suwon Convention Center and Gwanggyo Lake Park, it is a great place for a pleasant outing regardless of the weather.
