Located on the hill of Jeonju Hanok Village, Jaman Mural Village was a shantytown formed by refugees settling during the Korean War. Steeped in history as the ancestral home of Lee Seong-gye, King Taejo who founded Joseon, and home to the Jaman-dong Geumpyo, this place was transformed into a colorful alleyway art museum through the hands of young artists and cultural artists. Over the colorful walls, you can meet murals of popular animation and movie characters, and as you climb the hill, it boasts a scenic view where downtown Jeonju unfolds at a glance.
