Located within Jeonju Hanok Village, the Jeonju Traditional Liquor Museum is a cultural space opened in 2002 to preserve and promote our unique Gayangju (home-brewed liquor) culture, which has been fading away. It sheds light on the history of traditional liquor that almost lost its lineage during the Japanese colonial period and takes the lead in researching and restoring ancient liquors from old texts. Inside the tranquil traditional Hanok building, you can look around the process of making traditional nuruk (fermentation starter) and brewing liquor, and it also offers various experience programs where you can brew and taste makgeolli or moju yourself.
