It is an ecological and historical park that was restricted from access as a military base for half a century before being opened to citizens in 2001. Untouched by human hands for a long time, its abundant natural forests, such as black pines and wild cherry trees, and wild animals are vividly preserved. Inside the park is Han-gukjeontongjeong-won, which recreates major gardens of the Joseon era such as Buyongji Pond of Changdeokgung Palace, Soswaewon, and Yangjindang.
If you climb the 23m-high Wolmi Park Observatory, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of the West Sea, Incheon Bridge, and Incheon Port.
