Located on the coast opposite the Hill of Wind in the southern region of Geojedo Island, Sinseondae boasts a coastal scenery so beautiful that it is said to be a place where immortals came down to play. A legend is passed down that Choe Chi-won, a scholar from the late Silla period, traveled here and became an immortal, and it is said that the footsteps of the immortal remain on a large rock on the mountain peak. The Seongporicheung, a sedimentary rock stratum from the Mesozoic Cretaceous period, reveals clear ripple marks and mudcrack structures, giving it high geological value.
The surrounding islands, rocks, and crashing waves present a landscape like a watercolor painting. It has also gained popularity as it is known as a drama filming location, and it is a great place to take photos with the open sea in the background or experience the mysteries of nature while looking around the unique rock formations.
