Located in Mannyeon-dong, Seo-gu, Daejeon, the Lee Ungno Museum sheds light on the life and original artistic world of Goam Lee Ungno, a master of modern and contemporary Korean art. Opened in 2007, this place was realized by the French architect Laurent Beaudouin, who embodied the formative structure of the character 'Su (壽)' from Lee Ungno's 'Abstract Letter' works into the architectural space. The building itself is considered a perfect work of art, and the white exposed concrete, the glass curtain wall where natural light seeps in, and the garden where bamboo and pine trees harmonize add elegant charm.
It is great to fully enjoy the beauty of empty space created by architecture and nature along with indoor viewing.
