The 14.
The 14. 5km-long loess trail created on Gyejoksan Mountain in Daejeon is the nation's first barefoot walking attraction. It started in 2006 from the barefoot walking experience of a local entrepreneur, who spent his own money to pave the forest road with high-quality loess.
Walking barefoot on the soft and fluffy loess puts less burden on knee joints and helps blood circulation and immunity strengthening, allowing you to experience natural healing. It has been selected multiple times for the '100 Must-Visit Tourist Spots in Korea', and forest concerts are held on weekends to offer special joy to visitors. If you climb along the trail, you can enjoy an open view of downtown Daejeon and Daecheongho Lake from Gyejoksanseong Fortress (Historic Site No.
335), a relic of the Three Kingdoms period, and Bonghwangjeong Pavilion.
