Cheonjeongdae Rock is a sacred rock site where prime ministers, an important national matter, were elected during the Baekje period. According to the Samguk yusa, a box containing the names of 3 to 4 prime minister candidates was placed here, and a few days later, the person whose name had a seal stamped on it was accepted as the will of heaven and appointed as prime minister. Centered around the flat 'Beombawi' at the top of Chwiryeongbong Peak of Busosan Mountain, below it rise Imgeumbawi and Sinhabawi, where it is said that the king and subjects held ancestral rites.
Along with the scenery of the gently flowing Baengmagang River, it is a meaningful place where you can examine the ancient Baekje's ideology of the mandate of heaven and political culture.
