Marronnier Park is a symbolic cultural and artistic park of Daehangno, established in 1975 on the former site of Seoul National University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and College of Law. Its name derives from the marronnier trees planted during the Keijō Imperial University era, and it elegantly harmonizes with the monument marking the former university campus, as well as the red-brick ARKO Art Center and ARKO Arts Theater designed by architect Kim Swoo-geun. Centered around the outdoor stage where busking and street performances take place, the park features a sculpture garden and the Good Performance Information Center, which provides information on Daehangno theater plays, always offering a vibrant cultural charm.
