Located at the foot of Bonghwasan in Chuncheon, Gugok Falls is an attraction where a magnificent 50m high stream of water cascades down through nine curves, creating a spectacular view. It has been considered a famous waterfall since the Joseon Dynasty. In summer, the cold water spray and dense forest shade provide coolness, and in winter, it transforms into a massive ice wall, becoming a mecca frequented by ice climbers from all over the country.
You can reach it by walking for about 20 minutes along the flat promenade leading from the ticket office to the waterfall.
