Deungseon Waterfall of Samaksan Mountain in Chuncheon is one of the three major waterfalls representing Chuncheon, along with Gugok Waterfall and Guseong Waterfall. Having a wonderful name that means a waterfall where Taoist immortals ascend to heaven, this place presents a spectacular view of steep vertical gorges and strange rocks formed by the erosion of the quartzite rocky mountain over eons. Upon entering the gorge, cool waterfall water drops from a height of about 15m, allowing you to feel a chilly vibe even in midsummer.
Along Deungseon-gyegok, large and small waterfalls continue, and you can enjoy mysterious landscapes together, such as Seonnyeotang, where the folktale of the fairy and the woodcutter is passed down.
