About

Located on the hill of Itaewon, the multicultural hub of Seoul, the Seoul Central Mosque is the first and largest Islamic mosque in the Republic of Korea. Opened in 1976, it exudes an exotic atmosphere with its grand dome, which harmonizes white exterior walls and blue tiles, and two minarets pointing toward the sky. The interior of the mosque is decorated with intricate arabesque patterns and Quran verses, creating a reverent and peaceful atmosphere.

Beyond a simple religious facility, it is a special place where you can appreciate the beauty of Islamic architecture and encounter the symbolic landscape of Itaewon, where diverse cultures coexist.
