About

Seongsu-dong Handmade Shoes Street is the largest shoemaking industrial complex in the Republic of Korea, responsible for over 70% of the country's handmade shoe production, and is a representative alley cultural space. Formed in the 1990s when shoe stores relocated from Myeong-dong, it retains the touch of skilled artisans accumulated over many years and an analog sensibility. Diverse attractions continue along the street, including 'Shoe Spot Seongsu' in the pedestrian passage of Seongsu station, large red high heel sculptures throughout the street, handmade shoe street murals, and joint sales shops.

Today, handmade shoe workshops, stylish cafes, and exhibition spaces harmonize to add a unique vitality.
