Cheonjeyeon Falls, steeped in the legend that the seven nymphs who serve the King of Heaven would often come down to enjoy a bath on starry nights, is called by the mysterious name 'Pond of God'. Situated along a dense warm-temperate forest zone, this place boasts a unique form consisting of a total of three tiers. The First Waterfall forms an emerald-colored pond as water pours from the cave ceiling, but it usually remains a dry stream and only reveals its spectacular view after it rains.
This water flows again to form the second and Third Waterfall, and the landscape viewed from the arched Seonimgyo Bridge connecting the waterfalls is like a painting. Walk along the forest path where rare plants designated as a Natural Monument grow naturally, and feel the deep emotion given by the primeval nature of Jeju.
