Yongdusan is one of the three great mountains of Busan.
Yongdusan is one of the three great mountains of Busan. In the past, it was called Songhyeonsan because the sea could be seen through the dense pine trees. Later, it came to be called Yongdusan because its mountain shape resembled a dragon, with a spirit that seemed ready to swallow Japanese pirates coming from Japan.
Yongdusan Park features the Busan Tower observatory, the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, the statue of Baeksan An Hui-jae, a bell pavilion, a Flower Clock, and a dragon-shaped sculpture. There is an escalator connecting Nampodong to the park. Climbing up to Yongdusan Park offers a scenic spot overlooking Busan Port and Yeongdo, and going up to Busan Tower at the highest point of the park provides a beautiful night view of downtown Busan, including Busan Port and the distant South Port.
This park is not only a walking trail that citizens can use at any time, but also the most suitable resting space. It is a famous tourist destination for foreigners and is widely used as a resort for the elderly and a walking trail for nearby residents.
