It is the historical birthplace of Busan cinema and a street that represents the vitality of Nampo-dong. Starting as the 'Nampo-dong Theater District' where several theaters were concentrated in the past, it was reborn with its current name along with the successful hosting of the 1st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in 1996. Throughout the square, handprints of world-renowned film directors and actors are neatly arranged, offering a special experience to take in the history of cinema at a glance.
Although the main stage of the film festival has now moved to Haeundae, this place is still packed with various street foods including Ssiat Hoddeok and shopping stores, making it a must-visit course where you can fully enjoy the lively original downtown atmosphere of Busan.
