Samcheonsa Temple is a millennium-old temple located near Samcheonsa Valley in Seoul's Bukhansan National Park. It is said to have been founded by the Silla monk Wonhyodaesa, and once boasted a large and historic scale where over 3,000 monks practiced. It suffered fire damage during the Imjin War but was later restored and remains to this day.
Inside the tranquil mountain temple grounds, various Buddhist artifacts are gathered, including the Rock-Carved Standing Buddha designated as a Treasure, as well as the Stupa for Sakyamuni's Relics and Daeungbojeon Hall, making it a great place to experience history and the quiet atmosphere of a mountain temple together.
