It is a living folk village that preserves the yangban culture of the Joseon era intact. As a historic clan village where two families, the “Son” family from Wolseong and the “Yi” family from Yeogang, have continued their 500-year history, tile-roofed houses and thatched-roof houses harmonize beautifully within the scenic natural landscape of Seolchangsan Mountain. The entire village is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage site, and you can fully enjoy the tranquil old atmosphere while strolling between old houses and pavilions.
It is a special space where descendants actually reside, allowing you to feel the vivid breath of tradition.
