Located in Hongsan-myeon, Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Buyeo Hongsan Gwan-a (Government Office) is a government office ruins that was the center of local administration during the Joseon period. After being reorganized under Heungseon Daewongun's local government office maintenance policy, it went through twists and turns, such as being used as a police substation through the Japanese colonial period and modern history. Currently, the Dongheon, Hyeongbangcheong, and Jiphongru, the outer gate of the government office, are well restored.
In particular, the perfectly preserved old structure of Hyeongbangcheong and the Dongheon building with the quiet beauty of a hanok are highly rare, making it a representative historical site of Buyeo where you can fully feel the architectural beauty of a local administrative institution of the Joseon period.
